Danna Drori
Counsel

Ms. Drori is an experienced trial attorney and appellate advocate whose practice focuses on complex civil litigation. Prior to joining Macht, Shapiro, Arato & Isserles LLP in January 2010, she spent eight years as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Civil Division of the United States Attorney's Office in the Southern District of New York, where she handled a wide-ranging docket of cases and also served as Deputy Chief of the Tax and Bankruptcy Unit.

Ms. Drori has tried numerous cases before both juries and the bench, and has litigated in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on behalf of appellants and appellees across a broad range of substantive areas. Her significant matters include serving as lead counsel for the United States in the Worldcom and Lehman Brothers bankruptcies; enforcing and administering the Government's civil RICO consent decree with the Teamsters Union; conducting civil investigations into alleged police misconduct and health care fraud; and defending the constitutionality of various federal laws and regulations. She has also helped to supervise numerous complex tax and bankruptcy matters, including Chrysler and GM. During her tenure at the Department of Justice, Ms. Drori earned the Director's Award for Superior Performance and the Special Act Award for Outstanding Efforts and Exceptionally High Quality Work.

After law school, Ms. Drori clerked for the Honorable Denise L. Cote of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. She has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Cardozo Law School and at New York University School of Law.
